Full-time PhD student, part-time baker. Chocolate is always the answer.
I was raised in Germany and I currently live in Montreal. Baking is what keeps me sane during my PhD in microbiology.
While science and baking seem very different at first, they have surprisingly much in common. Are your muffins not rising enough? Adjust the recipe. Did you contaminate your cell culture? Improve your sterile technique.
It's all about the trouble-shooting and creativity.
